Kanudas Kathi Protibondhi Unnayan Songstha (KPPUS) is a non-profit, non-political Disabled People’s Organization (DPO) dedicated to the rights, welfare, and empowerment of persons with disabilities (PWDs). Founded in 2008, the organization is officially registered under the Department of Social Services and recognized by the Department of Youth Development, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

As a proud Member of the Bangladesh DPO Coalition, KPPUS contributes to the national disability movement by coordinating with district-level DPOs and OPDs. Through this membership, the organization plays a vital role in implementing coalition-driven projects that promote disability rights, inclusive development, and social participation.

Regional Role

KPPUS is one of the leading organizations working for persons with disabilities in Barisal Division. Under the responsibility entrusted by the Bangladesh DPO Coalition, the organization supports local-level initiatives to strengthen rights protection, ensure social inclusion, and promote empowerment.

Type of Work and Impact
